Sherry, anything but a Compaq. I have one and hate the
system backup on the D: partition. Since it is on the same
hard drive as the C: it provides no backup when your HD
crashes. Even the Compaq laptops use this system.

Dell.

I know they don't have Dell, but for over the last 5 years, that's all I will buy.

Looking at this week's best buy ad...they carry HP's Invent and Micron Millenia Max PIII 733/133 (PC mags editors choice as the "best power pc" as of the 12/1/99 issue).

Looks like you've got a choice of HP...Micron...emachine....compaq and house brand?

Sherry,

I have had to format my 'puter twice in the last week because I tried to load AOL 5.0. (I didn't know what caused it the first time)

I hate AOL.

The only reason I have it at all is because of my kids.

Did you have AOL 5.0 loaded when your's crashed?

Just wondering,
Phil
