Auric, Oh, here's a new fund. Looks very uh... unusual to me. Not your typical everyday mutual fund, nor a hedge fund. Seems like these guys seek to acquire 5% or more of any given small cap company that's currently knee-deep in manure, and then will exert pressure on the company officers to improve shareholder value. Let's see... Isn't that what CALPERS does? They made their first "acquisition" yesterday. Happens to be a company I have some familiarity with... Employee Solutions (ESOL)... Yeecchh!!! This is a turnaround situation, that's for sure... They call themselves eRaiders... And the acquisition itself is called an "eRaid"... It's founded by two college "perfessers"... Umm... I think I've heard enough, thank you... While I admire the motives behind this fund, I seriously question whether or not this strategy will produce economic rewards for those choosing to invest here... eraider.com KJC
