Pre-announcing products by 18 months (or more). Losing the marketing and technology battle versus Nortel (and, increasingly, Cisco). Bleeding staff. Making outrageously misleading claims about the capabilities of partners' products (TeraBeam). Setting up spin-in startups based on ATM (Ignitus) when the world is moving away from ATM. Going round telling their customers what to do and, basically, acting like a phone company. Please tell me: where is the is the positive news about Lucent?
