oh baby, i don't feel abandoned at all.
the weird thing is that all these people feeling "abandoned" not only do not leave ETrade, but 608,000 new people keep knocking at ETrade's doors every quarter.
what's more, 3/4 of the new ETrade accounts are coming from legacy brokers and other online brokers...
they must be all masochists

Steve, I used to have 7 figures in Etrade, now I barely use them at all. They dont care about GOOD customers, they only care about NEW customers. ITs a joke. They never helped me out, returned my calls, nothing...I warned them I was leaving, and I did along with others I am with. THey lost about $400k in commissions. Their IPO policy is a joke. They do not reward active customers AT ALL. They give all this free crap to new customers, but the old ones get NOTHING.

Their site sucks too. Every damn day they seem to have connection problems, and I cannot even use them! ALL THEY DO IT MAKE TRADES AND THEY CANT GET IT RIGHT!! Its like a food market running out of food.
Also, they use BRASS NETWORKS as a market maker in BB stocks, they are a JOKE. Screw up all orders, and dont even try to fix them, or listen to my side of the story. Their service people are basically uneducated, and supervisors too. All the ones I talk to, I know 100% more than, and its sad that those people are in charge of your $.

Now that's insane.

They are by far the worse, and they are just going to get worse, especially since Canada trust just merged into TD bank, and guess what, come May, all of Canada Trusts clients will be using Webbroker...

You want to see bad service, call TDwaterhouse any timew..not just during market hours, anytime..

see how long you wait, better yet, see how often the automated service at that number shuts down.

See how often the quotes are wrong or non existent.

Try waiting on hold for 45 minutes.

Try to trade when Web broker is down, all the time.

Try then to use the automated telephone..oops it's down, and then try to trade with a live broker...oops 1 hour wait time...

Go look at the TDwaterhouse, service is appalling thread on SI.

I have a Tdwaterhouse account.

I have an Etrade Canada account

I have an AB watley account.

I use ab the most, and ETRAde the second most..

Tdwaterhouse is gone the minute my last shares are sold...

And get this, I asked TDwaterhoser to send me checks to write on the account 7 weeks ago...came home recently from a trip, to a new debit card...

What?

I went to Waterhouse main headquarters recently at 55 King St. in Toronto...

Now, this was the monday when the NASDAQ was in free fall again.

so..

all there was at their MAIN headquarters were 5 reps to talk with and 3 terminals to trade on (yes Webbroker was down again)

There were easily 40 people waiting for each terminal, which looked to be older pentium IBM aptivas

Oooh I'm impressed...

I waited almost 40 minutes to talk with a rep, because I am sick and tired of their servers shutting down the minute a few people jump on.

Then I went to Versus (etrade) There were many many many reps there. And I had one come to me, not the other way, and he helped me, on the spot. Then he gave me his personal extension, and said To call him anytime if I have a problem.
