Ok cool. I don't know who you are so I need to see stuff for myself and with the low institution involvement it makes me kinda leery about buying but Im curious about it and the way it ran up so quickly makes me keep asking questions. Thanks. lata

This will blow out to sea just like that other tempest in a teapot with NOPT...

With all the shady games that are played on Wall St, I just don't see the time being well spent to go after one of the few people with integrity.

George - a bit off topic - have you looked at the book "Rare Earth" yet? Cosmic rather than telecosmic, but one of the more fascinating works to come along. I'd love to see a reasoned criticism of their ideas though.

So you're really not Yale Class of '54 and past Trustee of the American Museum of Natural History, the Central Park Conservancy, the Pierpont Morgan Library, and the Thomas Jefferson Memorial Foundation, Inc. ;)

Maybe you could get a copyright on your sirname to prevent this annoying confusion.

Maybe you could look to the other Gilder's prescience for the ideas you would come up with eventually as an efficiency measure. Maybe you could hire him as a consultant to tell you what you probably will have thought about.

>> In my newsletter, I said Richard Gilder is no more related to me than is Secretariat <<

That paints a very ugly picture....

George, i asked you if you were related thru adoption or any other means that you would consider a "loophole" to allow you to make your previous statements. I seem to be the only one you haven't answered.

I find it too much of a coincidence after GG & H held such a large position in NOPT when you profiled them as well. 1,000,000 + shares if memory serves me correct.

Are you saying that none in your family or any company that you own part of benefits in no way by the meteoric price rise in stocks you profile?

You're saying it is random chance that Gilder, Gagnon, Howe buys 244,785 shares of AVNX on 3/31/00?
insidertrader.com
This purchase represents 2/3 of all institutional buying in AVNX for the last quarter.

And according to you he reads your newsletter and thus invests in companies you mention. However, your newsletter mentions AVNX on April 24. So it was just a wild guess by GGH to invest $36,000,000 (245k shares x $150 price on 3/31) in AVNX ...

And then 3 weeks later, your newsletter mentions AVNX.
Mighty strong coincidence??? or not???

Cheers

Mike

George: You really don't need to say anything more. Where you really do your talking is in your Letter. These little gnats flying around your elephant are annoying but totally without power or influence. An occasional swat is ok but if you spend time with them, you have less time to pursue your intellectual agenda.

So SWAT and goodbye to the gnats (although they are sure to come back which is the way with gnats.)

OK.answer Bear Downs Question point by point..and then explain how anyone can know what you are going to write before you write it..do you verbalize it first to this group or entity?

THIS IS A CRUCIAL POINT IN OUR RELATIONSHIP..MR GILDER..Please think carefully before you decide to ignore it or answer it, but an answer is required so that we may stay civil.
