I don't mean this question as sarcasm or a shot..I would like an honest answer: Won't DDR have the same, or similar, ramping up problems as RDRAM had (has?). Isn't it likely, if not near certain, that architecture of this type, mass-produced for the first time and deployed in cutting-edge hardware configurations will have some rough edges to work out? I seem to feel that many of its advocates believe it will be "plug and play" and I don't know why that would be so. I understand that as a more direct extension of SDRAM it carries some known benefits forward, but isn't DDR a big extension, likely to surprise everyone with some break in headaches? Doesn't mean this hurts the technology long-term, but isn't this a reasonable assumption?
