I am not sure if the proxies will ask about the split, or only on the increase of the number of authorized shares.

I think the board of directors can meet and split the stock anytime after the shareholders have authorized enough shares.

Thanks for the report on the meeting.

Jozef, re:<split: I am not sure if the proxies will ask about the split, or only on the increase of the number of authorized shares>

I remember the '83 splits -- the proxy solicitation said something like: "If shareholders approve the increase in the number of shares at the special meeting of xxxxx, the board of directors intends to authorize a Y for Z split in the shares."

So the vote does not directly authorize a split, it makes it possible for the BOD to do that.

It'll also be interesting to see
1. If they say what Y and Z are (2 for 1?)
2. If they don't reveal Y and Z, but ask for a tripling in authorized shares, then they haven't decided yet.
3. If they just ask for about a doubling in authorized shares, I'd suspect it'll be 2 for 1
4. Whether they also give as a reason for the increase in shares the ability to make acquisitions using shares
5. Whether they also give as a reason for increasing shares the possibility of having a secondary share offering.

(5) would be taken very negatively by the street, but personally I wouldn't mind an acquisition via stock swap if its a good fit (chipset, graphics?)
