Actually, Bob from Nasdaq (don't remember how to spell his last name) was pretty bullish on the Nasdaq this morning. He emphasized that since the Nasdaq opened all at once and it didn't drop that much, which showed the bullish side.

hjz: CNBC never made me a halfpence. They, most of them, simply do not know how to help us. Try to ignore them...thats what the "mute" button is for. They've got to fill up 12 -14 hours of air time. Feh on them, I say. (Lee)

I often feel sorry for the CNBCers, because their job is to report, rather than opine, and the professionals they use as sources are so clearly manipulating them to job the market. I'm inclined to think the CNBC reporters actually know they sound like idiots, but there's little they can do about it because they're just reporting what the "experts" (or the heavily manipulated futures) are telling them.

As often as not, to be sure, CNBC is indeed a contrarian indicator.
