Jim,

The AMDroids of course have neglected such phenomenon in their trenchant analysis of initial latency.

Intel's own documents show that i820/800RDRAM average latency is longer than PC133, until the bus gets saturated.

This does not jibe well with your theory of a lower page hit rate.
