One question that was not answered well left a very bad taste in my mouth.

Someone asked, "Minus the LAN product volume in both quarters, what was the gain in revenue from the same quarter a year ago?"

Answer (paraphrased): I am sorry, I don't have those numbers readily available, I will have to get back to you.

Bullshit. Any CFO worth his salt should anticipate exactly that question, given the cessation of LAN production, and been able to answer promptly. Even an approximate number would have been satisfactory. And shame on him for an answer like that.

The company continues to emphasize increasing capacity, future on-the-come business, and technology acquisition as opposed to here-and-now growth of sales and profits. That may be OK and speaks well of the future, but as others have pointed out, competitors volume is going bananas in current quarters.

And btw, whatever became of accelerouter and all those tens of thousands of Cisco routers that needed accelerating? Sector? Anyone?
