mrmark,

I would have commented on it being kool myself but I can't think of where I could use it either. Nice tip though.
On my floppy problem, I think it was filesplitter program. (slap forehead-whack!)I was getting real tired of those restarts.

tc :-)

mr.mark or anyone:

I have around 400 old disks that I want to get rid of. Many have some personal data that I wouldn't want anyone to access. Does anyone have any idea/s how I can destroy the data/disks that would be considered environmentally
acceptable. Thanks in advance.
Donald

Mr. Mark,
I use the notepad .LOG TO keep a running record of analyst.
I enter their comment on any particular investment that they are covering along with forecasts and price targets.
And include with their analysis all pertinent info on that particular equity such as institutional ownership,% of float, fund ownership,#of shares owned by both funds and institutions,p/e,ttm info, short interest......etc....etc.
If I continue to hold that investment I can easily update that info, print, cut and paste to any number of documents.
I find it useful. There may be a better way but I use Notepad. Most of the things that I use this computer for have been acquired through this fantastic and informative thread.
"Thanks to all posters".
