You made my point exactly, the regulations have to change. Hiring a thousand more online brokers is not necessarily the answer. As for the banks making to much money, isn't that what it's all about? If it's too much, why don't you buy the stock. Finally, I never had a problem with the delay as all my trading is done at night after the markets close. I am not a day trader. On the odd occasion where timing was an issue, I made a deal with my broker for a discounted rate and the trades were completed immediately.
