"treated like dogs in the kennels of the migra" - ah, you've noticed this bit of hypocrisy among the (SOME my addition) AmerikaFirsters who have pressured for total power by the INS to beat back a people That part of your post is 100 % true. And, in fact, some of the repubs, who are now railing against Reno, have absolutely no problem with using that type of force against unauthorized immigrants. They have given the attorney general near plenary powers with regard to "illegals." Now, these "freedom loving" repubs get to see up front and close what government power is. I hope they are embarrassed. Maybe some good will come out of this, but the polls say otherwise.

I do believe the reality is a little different. (Somehow General¡simo Santa Anna had something to contribute, in fact he should appear in some of the US Dollar bills, as a small tribute for his contribution) However, I believe that very quietly, the sheer birth rate of the Hispanic population is slowly taking back the land once lost. As it is, currently, the 31 million Hispanics are growing faster than any other "group" hispanic-research.com <snip> Annual growth exceeds 2% a year. By 2010 Hispanics are projected to become the second largest race/ethnic group (surpassing blacks to become the largest minority ......
