What I'd like to know is when I will be able to trade on-line for $5.00 per trade for any number of shares, or value of order, like in the States. A company down South announced on CNBC a few days ago, they are starting a service that allows you to trade online for free,...they will make money off the advertisements on the site. The buggers up in Canada are making hundreds of millions off our trades, probably billions,...where's all that competition they keep talking about? Perhaps the banks just buy off the politicos, so no meaningful competition comes in because of repressive legislation?? Quite a few banks have ex-politicos on their boards. Bummer :-((((
