Number of Jobless Hits Post-War Record High in Japan

TOKYO, April 28 (AFP) - The number of unemployed in Japan hit a post-war record 3.49 million in March amid a hiring freeze by firms struggling to emerge from the economic doldrums, officials said Friday.
"The figure was the worst since 1953 when we started compiling jobless data, " an official for the the management and coordination agency said.

Enigma: I believe it can and has - the POG isn't just an inverse barometer of the US $. I really feel it's the auction and sale that are doing the damage - a double whammy which is hurting sentiment.

Hutch: Why can't the Price of Gold just be over valued, and thus decrease in price?
