No, I haven't but two of my friends have. In the first case one friend was awarded full custody of their two small children due to his wife alcohol problem. In the second case my friend was awarded equal custody of their small daughter where all responsibilities and stays are 50/50. In certain states I think the courts are beginning to recognize that mothers may not be automatically the best parent.

But with Elian, it was not a matter of divorce. The mother illegally removed the child from Cuba, died in the crossing and then her relatives illegally refused to give the child up. It was gross....even when the father came to this country upon their insistence, the relatives still refused to relinquish the kid. I think the suckers should be put in jail.
