<<Did Soros cause the Nasdaq crash ala LTCM>>

KM,

Is this the fund which caused the FED to contemplate to shutdown the "house of ill repute" for a while?

Trust Eddy, Soros is hooked, to suck it to the capitalistic world in big way. He is a financial genie. No doubt. To be measured only on the scale of artistic accomplishments like Caravaggio. Do you know of any artist ever arresting his caller?

But nevertheless he is the ring leader and carrier of worldwide economic pestilence. In my humble opinion.Of course.

Consequently, everything happening on a grant scale regarding financial disasters could bear his signature.

Regards,

ED

Interesting. What does flying too close to the sun gets you? Burned out.

Like I said last night. This new more volatile market requires a new way of thinking by investor / traders. It sounds like these guys were applying old indicators and old techniques to a new game. You can't do that and still come out on top. As the game changes, your indicators and techniques must change.

That is why we are like chameleons here. We change strategies with the markets. . . and we are always on the watch for indicators or other clues that tend to work better than what everyone else is watching.

Ever wonder why my eyes never leave the most volatile stocks board? Know anyone else that watches that board all day? I have a half dozen short-term boards running to give me a better look at what is happening on the short-term. .. before others see it. And that edge just happens to be working in this volatile market. . . or at least it has over the past few months.

Make no mistake. Volatility is very hard to read. Not even George Soros can read it. So then how hard is it for us to read?

Truff,

Interesting! Now what? With Soros gone, along with those who also got burned badly on the slump in Nasdaq, I believe that we will see less of the spectacular moonshot moves in stocks. On the other hand, this may in fact be the bottom and we may be back on our way up, albeit more slowly this time. I feel that many of the so-called blue chip techs, CSCO JDSU PMCS etc.., will remain range-bound for a while and this may present trading opportunities in such stocks. The small caps may present some interesting opportunities as well, but only in those that have earnings in hot sectors; semis, telecoms, software.

What are your thoughts on the market?
