RE: Seriously though, child labor was outlawed in the US at the turn of the century, and I would have to say that the overall benefit was positive. At least until body-piercing came along. Scumbria I would probably agree with you at least if you are considering the long term effect (and since it happened about 100 years ago I would assume you are). However the poorest places in the world are probably not ready for such a change yet. They are in most ways less developed then the US was in 1900. Tim
