Hi Susan!

I guess I tend to discount anything that hits the popular press that sounds too much like "looking for something to 'splain this here event".

I suppose Soros selling might have exacerbated things, but you'd think that someone with that kinda capital would be able to weather a storm ** if he thought this was only going to be a short storm **.

I.e. if they bought an earlier dip, and had their positions turn back on them - and decided to bail - what does that tell you about their confidence in the market?

I suppose even the big guys make bad calls, but I would think that selling out at the bottom is not something that happens every day at Soros and Co. So, is the read-between-the-lines message that they bought, discovered it was a bad call and sold out because they earnestly expect worse?

Perhaps the inflation bear is bigger than is known...

Or they sold the bottom.

Man am I glad I only trade by charts otherwise this here vocation would take too much time :)

Re the sluggishness - low volume. Rotation. Month end tape painting? Some or all of the above? Sure felt like the volume had dried up. Us Canadians know all about illiquid markets. Even no-bid markets... gulp...

Have a nice weekend.
