Here you go again congering up images of some "evil empire or darkness of humanity to dismiss this discussion. Why not let your PEERS will judge you. Are you telling me that you are incapable of determining if you or someone like you can responsibly handle a gun? I think you can if you are truly looking to take a proactive stance on this issue. See that's the problem with this type of dialouge. It's automatically tossed aside as "Big Brotherism" or some fanatical ideal. Why not have the NRA do it? Why not develop a peer group that will help to "clean up" the gun controls with realistic goals and real results? See the government gets involved when "we" can't find a compromise/solution that makes the majority of people satisified. Then some people in Washingtion DC create what they "think" are good rules which in reality are incredibly wasteful attempts to get some good press?!?! Come on, are you going to argue that we can not sit down and reasonably discuss and develop guidelines for a "self-policing" group? Many major industries have this type of "governing body" that is a layer beyond the government. I think it would benefit everyone if we could de-policitize this issue and find a solution that WILL make life in the US safer. Thanks for listening :) Peter J Strifas
