We should re-examine that book. btw, the people recruited for those commando jobs are rejected if their IQs are too high. The want people who will not question orders."

Is that right...?

Really...?

As in the Stockholm Experiment...?

That is disturbing.

the guys on the ground were going by the book. We should re-examine that book. btw, the people recruited for those commando jobs are rejected if their IQ's are too high.

Well of course those with higher IQ's are rejected. Somebody has to write the book!!. We need look no further than Clinton's example to sidestep the need to serve his country during a "police action" because he must have known he was destined to write a whole new set of rules, leading by example of course. (My response to your statement is meant as tongue in cheek, mostly)

I've been giving this a bit more thought regarding the photo which seems to be getting the most attention during the "extraction".

It looks to me like there is a door near the closet where an adult is holding Elian. He must have just stepped through the door when the photo was taken. He had to have been taken by surprise from the flash to take the photo so he may not have been consciensely aware that his firearm was pointed in the direction of the child. It appears the officer's face is facing the camera. He doesn't appear to be looking directly at the adult and child.

Now prior to going through the door where his photo was taken, he would have been mentally engaged in his task, and I'm sure holding his firearm in a defensive position would have been the norm prior to entering the room. Therefore, his firearm was positioned as he was trained upon entering the room, and he is going into a room not knowing what to expect.

I can't figure out why someone would be holding a camera at just the right moment to take a picture as the scene is about to unfold unbeknown to the officer.

Its as if the whole thing were set-up.

I think I'll leave the discussion to ya'all to settle because I don't have a high IQ, and the market is open for the next 4 days.

Some other time,

Mike
