Your question has no relevance. Admit you have no idea what went on for four months- pro or con Juan's actions.
And please share your source for "sucking down the brew"! I must have missed it. I think if you are going to keep throwing it out there as fact, unless you were the one imbibing with Juan in a bar somewhere for days on end, you ought to have a reliable source for us. It's only fair, otherwise, I should start saying things like-
How can you say he isn't a good father!!! For four months he stood on a dock with his thumb out begging for a ride to Fla, he even attempted to swim several times, but was dragged back by a group of communist indoctrinated dolphins. And Castro called him every night and assured him that Elian was on his way- so don't move. A book of mythology was found on his coffee table open to the tale of Icarus.

Are you a parent? If so, you should be aware that a child who has been with his parents for his entire life, does not, in the space of 4 or 5 months, replace them with others. There is no doubt that Elian formed a dependent and affectionate relationship with Marisleysis et al, who certainly WERE there for him in a strange land, but as an ex- Protective Service and Foster Care worker, I have seen the force of the parent/child bond even in cases where the homelife was execrable and it doesn't just "get replaced". Perticularly in such a short period of time.
"Peaceful, loving relatives."
I love creative writing.

Hey Robert

Somthing is going on here

Two leftys are pro Elian now.

Maybe castro has something else up his sleeve; deporting Juan's family to the US for example?

Elian's just the tip of the iceberg - unless Reno get slapped down hard for her Gestapo tactics:

"We need Janet Reno to go into a thousand homes this week," said David L. Levy of the Children's Rights Council. "Elian is but the tip of the iceberg."
