You are assuming MS has no upside near term, I don't see it that way, I think the stock has priced in the worst case, and the worst case already etched in stone (DOJ19's asking for MS breakup), so what is left in short term? the appeal has good chance of ruling in MS favor and throw out doj19 case, then what? gov appeal to supreme court and how long will that take? the political and economic climate may be entirely different by then, we could be in worldwide recession (bears's wet dream), I will probably come back and revisit posts in this reality detached period a year from now, it will make good reading.
