Claude, I explain the deficit by increasing demand and shrinking supply caused by low prices. Raise prices $50 and see what happens.

There has been no reaction to the inflation numbers you mention because most consider them a blip; and by and large there has been very low inflation for a number of years. I have read those conspiracy theories until I am blue in the face and they never made a lick of sense to me. Everything gold has done can be easily and logically explained by the fundamentals of supply and demand. IMO <gg>.

Reagrding you last paragraph in the last four years the stock mkt has exploded - that's where the money went - and inflation was still plenty low during that period.
