Peter,

IB was only slow for part of the morning. If its any consolation to you, I have found generally speaking that IB is always on top of the market, sometimes faster than my quote providers.

During market mayhem week both Quote.com and eSignal were delivering futures quotes that were between 4 and 15 seconds delayed. IB was there tick by tick (compared against another trader using Future Sources).

At one point this am I noted that the prices were different and initially assumed that it was my datafeed - but this time no. A number of users reported it to IB help desk and within a short while quotes appeared to be in synch again and were fine for the rest of the day.

Re the other quote vendors I mentioned, eSignal discovered a server loading problem that was behind the issue and have since fixed that. Quote.com still has a plethora of issues dogging them, some related to inadequacy of *their* market data feed (from SP Comstock, supposedly will be fixed end of May) and some related to what I believe are serious infrastructure and architectural flaws in their system.

Having said that, Quote.com quotes have been fine for futures until only the past month. From what I understand of the feed change they will be implementing, we will again see timely quotes from them once implemented.

I use a couple. On the low cost end I've been happy with QCharts. Once in awhile it dies, but it matches up with my other feed okay. Even when it dies, it's not out for long.

But as for accuracy of the data it comes in tick for tick with other feeds I've used.

Never tried Interactive or MyTrack. Easiest way to check is to take a temporary trial version of something and cross-check 'em. Other than that, you can get a friend on the phone with a different feed and check with each other for awhile. Lastly, I guess you could throw up QCharts Free page on the E-Mini and cross check it against your current feed.
