Joan, chew on this :

Message 13536387

how many of us would have ponied up to buy what 10 yrs ago would have been considered a pos (citi at 10 bucks)

the golds are in that state now. everyone i know just laughs at it. meanwhile i wonder on a one year basis how some one would have done trading some euros for physical gold...probably be ahead ? (Heinz could help here).

if you are looking at copper you might want to look at something that might be a takeover candidate...i heard something about that on rio algom which trades on the amex but i can't vouch for the scuttlebut.

canuck stocks tend to be cheaper than american for the same thing...edperbrascan is a nice diversified play , sort of a closed end fund in a way trading at a discount to assets and has a base metals component in there and a nice dividend. it also trades on the amex.

later

ike

Joan, copper looks good as well imo. it has had a pretty big correction and seems to want to make a new leg up. note the commercials are also long copper.
