LRR, Yup! Between Corpus Christi and New Orleans. I've seen, and been in, more of those things than I like to remember. Carla hit me in the pocket book really bad, and at that time, I lived 200 miles from the coast as the crow flies.

We have something that sounds a little like the Oxalis you describe but, the grass will smother it our too.

We are just now studying up on hydroponic growing. Don't know that much yet. ~H~

I have a crappy lawn, but I feel no shame. Actually, the lawn we have now doesn't have weeds yet, the lady who used to own the house must have poisoned them, but we won't. She didn't seed, though, so we have bare sparse areas, and she didn't fertilize, either. Lizzie has selected a 15ft square area on the front yard for her "functions," and the grass is incredibly thick, lush and green there, except for the yellow burned patches.
