I read the article you provided, and it is consistent with Microsoft's belief that they will not be stopped from innovating.

I think if they were not to exploit the integration it would be a mistake. This is consistent with their position until they are stopped by the Justice Department, which probably won't happen until it hits the Supreme Court.

This is a lot different than their bullying of computer makers to carry ONLY their software or else. Or Ballmer saying that Microsoft's stock price is too high. Both titanic, costly blunders.

Just my opinion.

Surprise - Ballmer talks up new MSFT products and directions. The only strange part here is that the DOJ regards development of new products as evidence of bad intent. I guess they think a company should curl up in the fetal position when Uncle Sam comes calling.
