George, yes, the idea is quite good...most major foreign markets do indeed follow WS slavishly.

George, have you looked at closed-end funds and market baskets as well? How well would those work vs. the mutual funds.

I guess the advantage of the funds is that after the foreign markets close, you still have 3 hours to get an order in to your broker, and get today's NAV. You sit back and decide how the market is going to close, and make a decision closer to the close with a price that was locked-in earlier in the day. Whereas the closed-end funds and baskets would continue to track the U.S. market to some degree.
