E, Of course!! The only reason I got into this thing in the first place was to come to the aid of a friend. He probably didn't need my help, and certainly didn't ask for it, but I can really get a burr under my saddle when it comes to my friends. Call it what you will, but I think friends need each other, that everyone needs loyal friends, and that they should be ready to come to each other's aid at the drop of a hat.

Please be assured of one thing. I do not go around looking for a fight. However, one of my problems, and painful learning experiences, has been my failure to walk away from one. I also, never do ambushes. That would be cowardly, and cowardice has not been one of my failings. Don't get me wrong. If a situation in life becomes totally, and obviously, out of control, and beyond a reasonable conclusion, I will bail out. I have no plans to be martyred. In such a situation, it is better to fall back, regroup, and remount the campaign than to fall.

I, honestly, hope we never encounter the occasion to lock horns again. I can be, and usually am, a fairly congenial person until riled. It so much more pleasant not to get riled up. Just an opinion, but, I think the "shrinking violet" thing is a debating ploy. You, and I both know that you are not a helpless woman. I must add, though, that men of my generation will fall all over themselves to be gallant to a woman who doesn't come on too strong. Archaic, I know, but old habits die hard. ~H~
