RE: KLIC CEO sale of shares

I heard, I THINK on CNBC, that he was selling for asset allocation purposes.

I remember Bagley, CEO of LRCX, bought about $1M worth of stock at about $8 and it went down to under $3 before turning around (rough split adjusted values). I have not heard of him selling any of his shares but I don't follow that closely either.

Some shares they get from regular ESOP means and probably makes sense to sell on a regular basis. When they start to sell off the shares they bought with their own cash, maybe that is when we take note?

Didn't Intel insiders sell a bunch of their shares last year, just before the company doubled in value?

I agree the buys are important, but are often not a good indicator of a bottom, just an indicator of good relative value.

The CEO of KLIC just announced his intention to sell a large number of shares.

They also don't usually issue a press release. But, hey, that could be using reverse psychology. He is selling a big chunk which isn't a good sign.

The insider experts usually look if there is selling in the whole industry. Also, insiders are usually terrible market timers. But it is still a sign to look at.
