Dorel among five "great growth stocks" -- see the Financial Post, issue of June 2nd, FP Investing section, page D4. President of the Canadian Shareowners' Association includes the following five -- JDS Uniphase, Gennum Corp., Dorel Industries, Investors Group, and Loblaw Cos. This is based on longer-term charting of sales and earnings growth, and all five have on these terms proven great picks. The criterion is "long, steep and straight revenues and earnings charts." Of the five, Dorel has the lowest PE ratio, at 14 on a trailing basis. In comparison, Investors Group is at 18, Gennum and Loblaw both at 31, and JDS at a negative ratio (loss). Take your pick!
