Of course, they can't. Unbelievable.

All of these online brokers keep this up and they'll have the federal government poking their noses in next (investigating). That will probably end up hurting all of us.

They've brought it on themselves. Serving the "almighty dollar" - get as many accounts as you can. Don't worry about the accounts you have, just get as many new ones as you can. That is the name of their game.

JM"not so"HO,

Mike

Why can't you daytrade in a non-margined account? I have and plan to in the future. Me don't like margin :o)

I pulled my money from WIT after they started saying similar things about my account. Rolled WITC into my Datek account.

That's funny...in a nightmarish kinda way...it's your fault for trading in a non margin account, geeez.

Did you try mentioning the words "lawyers" and "SEC"? -- don't think most brokers like hearing them, especially in cases where they clearly must KNOW the screwup was THEIR fault...

And what the heck is that about "not daytrading in a non-margin account"? Lots of folks daytrade in their IRA's, which are non-margin by definition...
