JDN,
I haven't got a clue. All of my knowledge outside the personal computer area is seven years old. That's when I retired. My guess, though, is that both SUNW's and EMC's comments and "beliefs" are self-serving (pardon the pun). They are both probably right for some parts of the market. If I had to guess, I would lean in EMC's direction for big business, and big-time internet operations. It seems to me there will be plenty of market for SUN's servers in the mid-range to small business, though. There ought to be hundreds of thousands of requirements for traditional servers in the internet market.

I had some EMC and got scared into selling it about a year or so ago by an unfounded rumor. If I had waited another day to pull the trigger, I would still have it. Since then, it has been too pricey for my taste.
