The services provided by libraries are privileges, not rights. Libraries are not obliged to provide internet access at all--- how can they be obliged to provide unrestricted access? Since they are not preventing the owners of pornography sites from plying their trade, or those who wish to indulge from doing so, but are merely not subscribing, as it were, I cannot see a conflict. Only if they were obliged to carry Hustler would there be a case.

Additionally, pornography is not protected by the First Amendment without qualification. In fact some forms, like kiddie porn, are quite illegal. Access to minors can be regulated. In general, there is nothing preventing a library from using blocking software against pornography.........
