Company we spoke with has also used Trane, but recommend the Bryant, Plus 80 with Variable Speed. It uses 60% less electricity than standard furnaces. Evidently, it runs at "low stage operation" 90% of time. He recommended Brynat air conditioner as well. He told us it was ranked number 1 by consumer magazines etc. Honeywell ran a close second. His company use to be our gas company but now they sell furnaces etc. Hubby got a good report on company from co-worker who has used the company in last three moves. It could be Carrier that makes Bryant works better in our climate. Thanks for your help! Cheers, Mephisto
