OT:

JDN--I saw walt mossberg display a new really neat CPQ portable that you might wish to look at. I looked on the cpq website, but could not find it. It's nicknamed "the slice" (??????)

It is very thin, but you can order this deally that is about 1/2 inch thick and the same size as the "base" of the portable which snaps on to the bottom of the port. It contains replicator ports, more disk drives, etc. The port costs about 1800 and the "slice" costs about 300.

Sorry, I can't be more helpful, but it did look neat.

Duke

JDN - as fate would have it, the new DELL catalog was in my mailbox yesterday and I saw the 3800. The 14.1 inch screen is a 200 option. It is almost exactly the same price (for the same features) as the Presario 1600. BTW unlike other DELL Inspirion laptops, it has only a 1 year warranty.

I have not had time to consider SUNW much lately, I'll post something later...
