What do you think about this:

1) You are a business making widgets.

2) Your salesmen go out and sell new widgets. Then you borrow money, produce the product and sell it.

3) Competition is tough. You work on a very thin profit margin.

4) Wages have gone up some but you have kept things under control by increasing productivity.

5) Now the feds decide to raise interest rates a bunch.

6) So what are you going to do? There is only one thing you can do - raise prices of your product. This causes your employees to ask for more money because widgets, and everything else, is going up.

7) Now the fed says: "Look - I told you so! Inflation! Prices are going up and wages too!"

8) So the fed says "I gotta kill this now so I'm going to raise rates again. Maybe even harder this time."

9) Go to step 6.

What's going on here? - Programming mistake.
Solution? - Kill step 5.

JW - King Kudlow for the Fed...Yes please.

And what do you think about our new SI format improvements.

SI is getting very very good. They should have a net worth qualifiaction to view or post and before doing that all original memebers should get stock. The value of SI/GO2net would rocket.

More bad ( well not if you call having a successfull economy bad) numbers today. What with that and Soros getting out well what a pudding.

Best regards,

L

Kudlow for the Fed? Are you out of your mind?

His personal history around 10 years ago is enough for me to say no way. Do a little checking, the man has something in his closet.

"Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain"....... That's setting yourself up for a big one.

JW, I may understand that you want your stocks to keep going up, but your analysis has to many flaws.

There is plenty of inflation already but your government does not report it. Just compare housing, energy, healthcare and the cost of food on your table.

Productivity growth at 3% or 5% is a myth as most labor intensive tasks are exported and then the products imported. So your so called productivity gains are exchanged with huge trade deficits ......... which are unsustainable and will hurt the US in the long term.

Only high interest rates will keep the dollar strong and the bubble going.

P.S as to Kudlow he is a complete idiot running the party line getting his pay from stock funds. If he was worth something he will not work for CNBC
