Pat,
You have mentioned Altitun several times as a leader in tunable lasers. I wonder if SDLI and JDSU looked at the deal and passed it up. I remember from SDLI's CC, mgmt. said they had looked at a lot of deals, and that some of these startups are asking "a lot". $872 million sounds pretty good for 40 to 45 employees.
