and if you recently followed his "never saw a call premium that i didn't like strategy" without fully understanding
I did read that post, and didn't understand it at all. I thought he was being facetious. I've seen many call premiums that I have not liked (e.g., JDSU leaps when it was running) and just said no. Are you saying there is a fuller understanding that I missed?

there is a time and place for every strategy...the "mother hens" have not lived through a full market cycle..
You know, besides not pulling out of the market soon enough during the recent downturn, my biggest adjustment has been figuring out how and when to make use of other strategies than my favorites - spreads and covered calls.

So, as you say, there is a time and place for all strategies, and I have incorporatated many things that I have learned from you and others into what I am doing now, and I am appreciative for the sharing of knowledge. Because of this "cycle", however small, I see much more clearly the accuracy of your statement.

As I said yesterday, even though I now have the highest level of option approval, I am mostly sitting on my hands now because this market gives me no good sense of direction.

Best,
Jeff Smith

Now, ed, is this really a mature way to handle dissent?

"late yesterday afternoon my posts were to answer option queries...i return this morning to see the chuckleheads continuing with the noise and dragging me back into it...

i guess if you have nothing of substance to say, you just make noise or throw out juvenile one liners..."

Two juvenile posts don't make one good post.

Constructive Regards,

LoF

PS Can we all make a pledge to get back on topic today?

THANKS TO ALL!!!

ed -

i refer to "qcom 2000 in 2000" as it was commonly posted on the g+k and qcom threads.....

I have never seen this posted on either thread. There was an analyst that made a prediction of $1,000 in the year 2000, but that prediction was made pre-split. So the prediction is really $250 in 2000.

Mis-information hurts both ways. If you want others to not publish bad info, then you should not do it.

Thanks,

Ritch
