lot of cash
start of the semi cycle
new products coming this month
largest shareholder of UMC

I'm sure I forgot something...is this enough.!

there is nothing wrong with privatizing the venture arm.

Calvin,
Whilst you're studying ALSC don't forget the tax liability for all those "off balance sheet" assets. Since they've been written off, the taxable gain will be 100% of any sales price; their basis is now $0. Tax might be, I dunno, 41%? I tend to just discount 'em by 1/2, 'cause it's easier.
