I wouldnt call today a rally, more like a dead man getting an erection after his head was cut off. The volume was a joke, and all the action came in the first and last half hour of the day. This is tape painting for sure. We are in may and volume is getting slower and slower. Heck by July will be trading less then a Billion a day.

Anindo, i have to pass on SSRI...but i'll take a closer look at it.
as for the size of the retracement, we have already made the standard, weak 38% retracement. if it turns into a 50% retracement the NAZ would reach roughly 4,150.
as for the nature of the rallies in the face of bad news, i refer you to Fleck's latest rap and his description of the final rallies in Japan in '89. that sort of hits the nail on the head imo.
