Paul, IMHO there is a financial war going on. Old line asset alocators move slowly out of stocks and mutual fund managers are trying to keep the indexes up.

More and more momentum stocks are up and in wild gyration due to this activity no reasoning what so ever just plain manipulation to squize several points. Today being a great example.

In bull market Friday's are down or flat days in bear markets Friday's are up days usually sharp up due to short covering.

Paul actually, the market makes a lot of sense, it is a titanic fight between fear and greed, and also between sloshing liquidity, improved earnings, and the fear that may end soon due to higher interest rates and topping economy (how much better can it get?).

I think that you are not going to get hurt being 100% cash. However, in the next few weeks, I believe that another major buying opportunity will arise, and should be followed by a strong bull move. I simply cannot believe that the "powers" will go past the Republican convention without a good rally (another version of "it is the economy, stupid...").
