Chaz, as much as I have always liked Pat, admired her analyses and respected her integrity, I must agree with you in this case. I too am somewhat surprised by what seems to be MORE than just DD on her part. She actually is now reminding me of when "techie" returned to the old Amati thread, or Steve G. or others sought to impune her integrity. Gilder has EARNED his reputation as a visionary, he sees the forest very clearly when many don't even yet know there is a forest to seen. His insight into technology is why I subscribe to his report. That being said,-- no one is always right.-- Gilder or Pat. I own some of the stocks that fit his paradigm only when my own DD and interest makes them an appropriate fit. I'm responsible for my own actions. Pat gave us some fundamental's about Gilder's recent picks that are appropriate to look at, raise questions, and I admire her willingness to share that information with us. Unfortunately, as she has also recently done on the LUMM thread, she has gone into impuning the integrity of some contributors in a way that I deem to be accusatory, a "Prove you are not guilty". She is certainly capable of explaining why she would not invest in a company without resorting to discrediting the messenger -- unless she has evidence to do so. I consider her analysis of AVNX's fundamentals, as she sees them, as a valuable presentation which makes AVNX a stock she wouldn't own or advise others to invest in at the present time. Her analysis, however, does not address adequately the significance of AVNX's technology which is Gilder's main reason for singling it out. More than that, however, it is my impression she is is trying to "steal the spotlight" from Gilder, or trying to get some of it to shine on her, by trying to discredit him. Didn't that happen in some Shakespearean play about ancient Rome? JMO, Michael P.S. Pat, if you read this, I still look forward to your insights which are always first-rate and hope you don't lose the genuineness, sociability and positivity that always seemed to characterize your posts.
