I don't know why this (crappy software) is involving the FBI and government tax dollars. --- I thought Microsoft wanted the Federal Government (*particularly law enforcement) to have nothing to DO with their business. -JCJ

Dear Yaacov: I am married to a Filipina and I have lived in the Philippines. I can tell you they are VERY bright and also very mischievous. Also, the upper crust has plenty of money to afford any computers they want and all the bells and whistles that go with it. So, I am not in the least surprised. I will be surprised though if they actually catch this kid. I understand he is only 15 years old, so they must know just who they think it is. Trouble is, things in the Philippines are not always as they seem.
I personally am very upset about all this. I think they ought to have the Death Penalty for this sort of thing. The internet is a wonderful device for us all, and I would hate to see it screwed up by pranksters. The penalty must be SO SEVERE as to frighten people from even thinking about doing these things. JDN
