Thomas, just picked up your link from the BVSN thread and am fascinated by your SMA crossover system. I hate to bother but really want to make sure I understand what you are saying:

Are saying that if the 5 hour SMA crosses the 8 hour SMA from underneath on the hourly chart, then this is a buy. Conversely, if the 5 hour SMA crosses the 8 hour SMA from above we have a sell.

Also, if this is true, have you tried using EMA instead of SMA? Alexander Elder, author of "Trading For A Living" seems to be partial to EMA but I don't have experience with either.

May I also ask are you using a program to do the back testing such as Metastock or are you calculating the results manually?

In the past week I have come across 2 folks, 1 on RB and 1 on CS that have back tested a simple LTB&H strategy using a simple 50/200 day EMA crossover (as I explained it above)
with very acceptable results. One person was testing CMGI and the other JDSU.

Finally, if you have any experience with www.investtech.com that you mentioned I would love to hear it.

Thanks for any help you can give me. I have book marked this thread.
