Gladman does not have a monopoly on annoyance. How annoying do you think it is to see him gloating over the suffering he imagines the short sellers are experiencing because KREM stock did not suffer a horrible, permanent death immediately upon their arrival here? Are the shorts not allowed to similarly express their annoyance?

I won't even go into your little display of fanaticism last week.

And it's not as if some of the shorts aren't attempting to present reasoned arguments. Attempts to point out that KREM valuation is way out of line with its peers, are dismissed as irrelevant because of some vague yet overriding "mania". Yet you forget those efforts and only remember the "KREM is KRAP" sloganeering. Maybe that's why shorts do that -- because that's the only thing that sticks in the memory.

I agree Boston Chicken isn't a perfect analogy here, but I was pressed for time last night. My point here is that Krispy Kreme, while not a new company, is attempting something new to them in the form of national expansion. Maybe they will succeed. I don't know, and for of all of his unbridled optimism, neither does gladman.

Right now the price reflects expectations of a bump-free ride to the promised land, with a steady bull-market wind in its sails. Not to mention there is still a novelty factor as many people get their first taste of what I will freely admit is quite a good product. I know of people who bought this stock having done no more DD than eating one doughnut. Knowing that it's not all that surprising we're seeing some semblance of support for this price. But will these people continue to buy this stock after the novelty wears off?

I say, given the heavy odds I seem to be being given, I'll risk a few bucks on the other side of the bet.
