American Xtal Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq: AXTI), based in Fremont,
California, downgraded to a "B" rating. Although long-term prospects remain
strong for this innovator of laser technology, management's recent restatement

Big news, VCSEL wafers from AXT:

So, now you have two VCSEL plays! After missing EMKR, I'm happy to end up with one. To me, this is a classic example of an "unforseeable and unknowable" development, which is why it usually pays to hold tight to your winners, especially if management is capable. I was expecting the next major announcement from AXT to be something more like,, GaN wafers.
