Art:

I have to agree with your capacity assessment. When SNDK recently announced a similar deal to provide embedded memory, my first question was - Where is this capacity coming from? Now with this second announcement, I have to believe that they have made arrangements for additionally capacity since the indication up to now has been that they were operating at maximum capacity.

Perhaps this will be confirmed on 5/11.

And those of you fortunate enough to be going, please post updates for the rest of us!

"Second, the very fact that SNDK has agreed to supply chipsets to JUMPtec indicates that the Taiwan Semiconductor deal has led to very substantial increases in capacity for producing chipsets. Late last year, SNDK was selling everything it could produce in its factories in Taiwan and China. They could have sold more if they had the capacity. Now there is more capacity, and by early next year, the plant in Manassas, Virginia, owned jointly with Toshiba, will start producing"

Excellent point, Art.
