Marginmike, do you see any future leader on Nasdaq now,I don't.
Without the leaders I do not see any long term rally.
Only from oversold conditions.

I'm a short term trader because TA works best on short timeframes. You're right about the seasonality factors you stated and its foolish to disregard them. Money flows are not helping. You're suppossed to sell techs at the H&Q technology conference. There typically is a summer rally going into the summer earnings season. The money flows don't improve until early November. Assigning actual index points/levels is a guess. TA is mainly a way to set points at which to initiate quick reactions to reversals and trends. TA is only slightly predictive in that it takes time for people to get into and out of positions--so when reversals and trendlines get broken you can bet that the buying or selling direction will continue in that direction until those positions are accumulated or liquidated.
